Steve Hockett
Basin Committee Chair

This committee, which functions under the supervision of the Rear Commodore, is responsible for collecting Basin applications for slip rentals and leasing upon vacancies. This committee is responsible for recommending improvements and repairs to the Board, for recommending to the Board necessary action to be taken to safeguard the Club's real and tangible property and to apply the Basin Rules approved by the Board, equitable to all members. This committee is required to report at each regular Board meeting. The Basin Committee Chair also serves as an active member of the Board of Directors.

Steve and his wife Keri have been in the Sarasota/Bradenton area for the last thirty two years, with the last nine years on Snead Island.  They have had an interest in boating since landing in this area, finding the water a great escape from work as well as a perfect family activity while raising their children. They joined the Bradenton Yacht Club five years ago. They have found it a great place to share with family, as well a wonderful gathering place to meet new friends.

Steve has worked in the Information Technology field for the last thirty years with past time spent at NCR, AT&T and Arthur Andersen. He has been with Price Waterhouse Coopers for the last ten years, serving as Director over US Data Center Services.
